Turnstile Control Setup Tab

Through this screen, Entrance Control can be set up to control doors, gates, or turnstiles.

Enable Turnstile Control

 If you will be controlling your turnstile or electronic gates through Entrance Control, the "Enable Turnstild Control" box should be checked. This will enable all other options on this screen.

 If you do not use turnstiles or will not be controlling them through Entrance Control, this box should remain unchecked.

Attached Turnstiles

 Each of the turnstiles that Entrance Control is responsible for controlling must be added to the system. This can be done by completing the following steps:

1. Click Add.

2. Enter a name to describe the turnstile being added (e.g., Front Door, etc.)

3. Select a unique ID to be assigned to this turnstile.

4. Select the appropriate Interface type from the drop-down list. For specific information regarding your turnstile settings, contact the manufacturer directly.

5. (Optional) Click Settings and edit any options necessary. For more information regarding your turnstile settings, please contact the manufacturer directly.

6. Click OK on the Settings screen and the Turnstile screen. You will be returned to the Turnstile Control tab.

7. Repeat the previous steps to attach all additional turnstiles.

Note: Turnstile options can be changed at any time by highlighting the turnstile name and clicking the Change button or by double-clicking the turnstile name.

Trigger Turnstile when Member has Normal Status

 If you would like Entrance Control to release the turnstile for members with a "Normal" status as they are admitted, check this box. Otherwise, the turnstile will not release unless manually requested by the front desk person. For more information on this topic, see Member Status.

Trigger Turnstile when Member has Warning Status

 If you would like Entrance Control to release the turnstile for members with a "Warning" status as they are admitted, check this box. Otherwise, the turnstile will not release unless manually requested by the front desk person. For more information on this topic, see Member Status.

Trigger Turnstile when Member has Not Allowed Status

 If you would like Entrance Control to release the turnstile for members with a "Not Allowed" status as they are admitted, check this box. Otherwise, the turnstile will not release unless manually requested by the front desk person. For more information on this topic, see Member Status.

Note: Entrance Control must be exited and restarted for Turnstile Control options to take effect.
