Using this feature in conjunction with a Windows compatible sound card, you can assign sounds to events that occur within the system (for example, a "ta-da" sound on each member's yearly anniversary). Sounds can be assigned to the following events:
Normal
Played as a member is admitted to the facility.
Card Not Found
Warns the member card is not found in the system.
Warning
Indicates member status is set to a yellow light. (For more information on this topic, see Member Status.)
Not Allowed
Indicates member status is set to a red light. (For more information on this topic, see Member Status.)
Happy Birthday
Signals that today is the member's birthday to front desk person.
Anniversary
Signals yearly membership anniversary to front desk person.
Note: Critical events will take precedence over all other events. For example, admitting a member with red light status will trigger a "Not Allowed" sound, even if it is their birthday.
To assign a sound to an event, complete the following steps:
1. Click the "…" button to the right of the event that you would like to assign the sound to.
2. Locate and double-click the *.wav file that you would like to play as the event occurs. (Windows sound files are typically found in the c:\windows\media directory.) The path will appear in the Sounds tab of Entrance Control.
3. Click the "play" arrow button to the right of the path to hear the sound.
4. Click OK to exit the screen and save the information.
Note: If a sound event is left blank, no sound will play.
