Branch ID
The Branch ID should be a unique number for each location (this is particularly important if two branches choose to merge and form an association at a later date). If your organization does not assign internal Branch ID's, you may create an ID to identify the branch, or simply assign an ID between 001 and 999.
If connecting to a server, the server uses the Branch ID to determine: 1) the data to be sent to the branch, and 2) the membership cards that should be printed as membership information is changed (membership cards can only be printed from the home branch or the server).
Branch Name
The branch name should be unique for each location and cannot be blank. If your organization does not assign internal branch names, you may create a name to identify the branch (for example, city name, Corporate, etc.)
Data Path
The data path specifies the location of the Member Management database. The default path is set to the Entrance Control installation because this system is typically running continuously. If your database files are stored in another location other than the default, you can manually enter the path or use the "Browse" feature to locate the directory. If the Branch Name and ID have been specified in the database you select, these fields will automatically be populated by the system.
